Our team of hospitality consultants  are experienced professionals from the hotel industry with extensive operational expertise, but a down to earth approach to decision making. Aldien's hospitality consultants have managed a portfolio of hotels which includes Hilton, Radisson, I.H.G, Best Western, as well as a number of luxury independant properties. Our hotel consultants are therefore fully conversant with the strengths and weaknesses of almost all of the of the franchise providers in North America, which combined with their considerable experience in turnaround management of underperforming and distressed properties, enables them to make critical marketing and operational recommendations.
Roger White,  President,  Hospitality, Tourism  Management Consultant
A graduate of both St.Mary's Hotel School in London, and the University of Surrey in Guildford, Roger commenced his career completing a management training program with Strand Hotels in London, a division of Allied Lyons. Following a successful management career with Strand hotels and later Commonwealth Hospitality in England, Roger transferred to Canada to continue with Commonwealth, and managed a number of large hotel development projects for the company.
Following 17 years with Commonwealth Hospitality, Roger joined Winfair Hospitality Management as President, and by acquiring distressed and underperforming properties, developed their portfolio to include hotels and resorts in Canada, Cayman Island, Bahamas, St.Martin, and a wholesale travel agency in Miami. In addition, Roger undertook a number of development projects for Winfair in Cuba, Thailand and Indonesia before joining Royal Host R.E.I.T  to become Executive Vice President, with responsibility for franchising and development.
Sue Wadland,    Human Resource, Training Consultant
Sue Wadland's professional background includes corporate human resource development experience in England, Ireland, Canada and U.S.A. Currently holding the Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) designation, Sue started her career in hospitality by completing the Higher National Diploma in Hotel and Catering Management in England, and an intensive management training program with Trusthouse Forte Hotels. Subsequent management positions over a 14 year period with Trusthouse Forte resulted in specialization in human resource development. Prior to moving to Canada, Sue held the positon of Area Personnel and Training Manager for Trusthouse Forte in Ireland.
As Royal Host R.E.I.T.'s Executive Vice President of Human Resource Development, Sue developed over 20 Standards and Procedures manuals, and all company training programs for owned and managed hotels in Canada and the United States. Respected as a human resource advisor, Sue provided guidance to management on employee concerns and disciplinary matters in both union and non union operations, and advice and direction on grievances and collective bargaining .
Sue served as an advisory member for the University of Lethbridge, and has been recognized by the University's Mentors Program Appreciation Award.
